The fishing was better than expected. The weather was wet, cold, windy, sunny, warm, foggy sunny and then cloudy this past weekend.
We were able to get out on the water with a number of groups. We fished this very productive area of the Manitou Passage of Lake Michigan which we nicknamed “the playground” that produced limit catches of Lake Trout on all our trips. This is a great place to fish and see all the sights. We are able to see both North and South Manitou Islands, South Fox Island, Pyramid Point, Whaleback, Sugar Loaf, Sleeping Bear Point, Cathead Point and the Leland Clay Cliffs. The sights were as fantastic as the fishing.
