Fishing on West Grand Traverse Bay remains excellent. Limit catches of Lake trout have been taken while trolling the banks sometimes shallow, sometimes a little deeper with cowbells and spin-n-glo baits and flashers and spin-n-glo baits. Cisco fishing is also good casting Kast Master jigs up to the bank with slow retrieve. We can expect the fishing to continue to be excellent as late spring turns into summer.
Fish from the port of Leland out in the Manitou Passage of Lake Michigan remains very good. We are trolling near shore and catching limit catches of Lake Trout and an occasional salmon. Offshore near the Manitou Islands we have been catching mostly king salmon with the occasional lake trout. Though spring has been cooler than expected we look forward to summer and excellent fishing. We still have openings, give us a call to schedule your fishing adventure.
