June 10, 2025 Fishing Report
I’m getting last week’s fishing report in a couple days late and I apologize for that. Fishing this past week continue to be the same as the previous week. The lake trout are up on the flats in pretty good numbers off the port of Leland and they have also gone shallow onto the banks in West Grand Traverse Bay.
The lake Trout were biting on cowbells on the down rigger rods and spoons on our dipsey diver and planer board rods. It seemed that the larger cowbells work best on the downriggers and the spoons which were typically green and white or white and blue on the Dipsy diver rods. Whereas on the planner board rods standard size spoons with silver and some orange were working pretty good. There are king salmon out around the Manitou Islands. It seems like they are continuing to move around the north end of North Island and the south reef of the south Island. We actually got a couple close on the first bank just outside of the Port of Leland, all of this is a good signs that the salmon fishing is getting better and that the lake trout fishing is extremely strong right now as I’ve said before, June is a great month for Fishing. We still have some availability, so please give us a call and schedule your adventure.
